Service Animal Fundraiser

A fundraiser to help a Rad­cliff man get a new ser­vice dog is com­ing up this Wednes­day. The News Enter­prise says Michael Mullarkey has epilepsy. His ser­vice dog Mirage passed away in Octo­ber. She was a Brit­tany spaniel-Australian shep­herd mix, and trained to warn him of oncom­ing seizures. Now that she’s gone, fif­teen thou­sand dol­lars is need to get another ser­vice ani­mal. The fundraiser Wednes­day is at Colvin Com­mu­nity Cen­ter in Rad­cliff. They’ll have a guest speaker and a demon­stra­tion on ser­vice ani­mals start­ing at 5 p.m.
