Shepherdsville Winery Gets Top Honors at Ky Derby Festival

A Shep­herdsville win­ery has walked away with 13 medals at the 2012 Ken­tucky Derby Fes­ti­val Wine Com­pe­ti­tion. And that includes three gold medals. Jim and Sandy Wight own the Wight Meyer Vine­yard and Win­ery . Jim tells the Courier Jour­nal that his wine­mak­ing started as an ama­teur thing that got totally out of hand. Now it’s a Bul­litt County suc­cess story, pro­duc­ing about two thou­sand cases a year.
