In Sheperdsville, cops say they’ve never seen anything like this.

A homeless guy hid in a storage closet at the Value Mart, and when the place closed he came out and had a one-man party.

30 year Trevor Runyon was seen on security video enjoying himself after hours at the store. He cooked food in the kitchen, drank beer, and then to get really trashed — he huffed 57 cans of Ready Whip.

He also went to the bathroom on himself, then stole some boxers off the shelf and changed. Before the store re-opened the next morning, he hid in the attic and passed out. They had to call the fire department to get him down. He’s locked up under 50-thousand dollars bond.

Zapped With Tazer After Running From KSP

A Radcliff man was zapped with taser by KSP Monday. Troopers say 23 year old Drew McCormick sped through a traffic safety checkpoint on Ky. 313 and that he almost ran over three officers.

Troopers chased him down. They say McCormick was combative and that once in hand cuffs, he was belligerent. In the back of a patrol car, he lunged at a trooper and that’s when they used the taser. McCormick is facing a variety of charges from reckless driving to resisting arrest, and driving without insurance.

McConnell Blasts The IRS

An outrageous abuse of power. That’s what Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell says about the Internal Revenue. The IRS has admitted hassling the tea party and other conservative groups when they tried to get a tax-exempt status. Yesterday on the senate floor, McConnell called out the president. He said that top officials at the agency should be made available to Congress to answer questions with no stonewalling.

Women Arrested For Welfare Fraud

Seven Hardin county women have been indicted for trying to get welfare benefits they are not entitled too. The latest one was arrested last thursday. 54 year old Karen Goodman of Elizabethtown. The amount of taxpayer money paid to the women ranged from $3,000 more to than $12,000.

Teacher In Jail On Sex Charges

A former teacher at J.T. Alton Middle School is due in court Tuesday after grand jury indicted him on 30 charges connected with sexual contact with a student. 46 year old Anthony Durrant charged with 14 counts of sexual contact with the a girl, as well as several counts connected with having dirty pictures of a minor. Durrant was out on bond, but after the grand jury action, he was locked-up on Mother’s Day.

That’s what 38 women around Kentucky and Indiana thought about 29 year old Raymond Holycross. But prosecutors say that Holycross used different names to meet women and sometimes move in with them just so he could steal their stuff. He was caught when a woman he was with found a pawn ticket, he had sold her camera, and the ticket had his real name on it. She calle police.

Holycross will spend the next 18 months making friends in prison. That’s his sentence after pleading guilty to theft.

Cleaning Up In Vine Grove. That’s An Order!

The mayor of Vine Grove says he wants to the town to be free of eyesores.

So police are starting to knock on doors of homes that are messy or that have junk in the yard. They’re telling homeowners to clean-up. Mayor Blake Proffitt says they’re not just trying to write tickets to make money. He says the goal is to have the town look good.

He said police will work with residents and set reasonable deadlines for cleanups before taking any enforcement action.

Busted. Pervert Puts Camera In Tissue Box

A former E-town man is charged with hiding a camera in a bathroom to videotape a teenage relative while she showered and got dressed. 50 year old John Ashber charged in LaRue and Hardin counties. Kentucky State Police received a complaint in October. That’s when a family member discovered a video camera hidden inside a box of tissues in a bathroom.

If found guilty of the felony charges, Ashber could do a lot of time in prison

Wanted: A Pretty Tornado Shelter

In Vine Grove, the city is having a tough time building a tornado shelter because residents don’t like the way it will look.

The town is getting federal money to build the shelter that could hold 400 people and withstand 250 mile an hour winds. But city keeps going back to drawing board trying to get a design that residents will accept. Another design to be reviewed by the city council next week.

Busted On Camera: Stealing A Donation Jar

A Hodgenville man admits he swiped a donation jar from a local store. The jar was sitting at a check-out counter, so that customers could drop in contributions to help a sick child.

But 32 year old Tyrone Lee had other ideas. He’s been arrested for theft. Surveillance video showed Lee put his jacket over the jar at the IGA express and walked out with it. Not sure how much money was in it.
