Could The NBA Survive In Louisville?

An NBA team in Louisville? A new study pours cold water on the idea. The study says there may not be enough companies with deep pockets to pay for luxury boxes which teams depend on for a big part of their revenue. The study also points out that we’re close to Indianapolis where the Pacers play, and it questions whether an NBA team would compete with the University of Louisville for fans.

Look, Mom! I Got A 60 On The Test

Bullitt county schools appear ready to change the grading system next year. One big change: if a kid gets a 60 on a test, that’s no longer failing. It’s passing. Barely. It would be a “D.”

The school board is considering changing the grading scale because if kids have higher scores, they stand a better chance of getting college scholarship money from the Kentucky lottery. The changes have one more vote to go at the Bullit school board before going into effect in the fall.

A Victory In The Kentucky Fish Fight

Senator Rand Paul says the Army Corps of Engineers is backing down on plans to build a barrier wall in front of several dams. The walls would have blocked fishing access near a number of Cumberland River dams in Kentucky. Senator Paul says, “We’ve won a small battle, but the fight goes on” because the Corp of Engineers is still restricting some fishing. Paul says he may introduce a bill to keep the Corp from messing with spots that are popular with fishermen.
